IU School of Dentistry Alumni Association


The Indiana University School of Dentistry Alumni Association is responsible for the programs and activities for alumni. Some of the programs and activities include:

  • The Annual Fall Dental Alumni Conference held in Indianapolis, IN. Approximately 600 attend this three day fun-filled event. Activities include golf, tennis, a 50-mile bike trip, tours, celebration luncheon, dinner, special class reunion receptions, brunch, football game, special class dinners, continuing education, and many other special events.
  • Regional continuing education events.  Upcoming events in the fall of 2005 include Evansville and Merrillville.
  • Student / Alumni Golf Outing where the Dental School students and alumni compete with the Medical and Business School students and alumni. Proceeds from the event, The Scholar Chip Classic, go to the scholarship funds at the three schools.
  • Dental Hygiene Class Reunions
  • Alumni receptions at dental conferences
  • Emergency loan funds are provided for students by the Alumni Association for times in student's lives when unexpected emergencies arise.
  • Several student programs and events sponsored by the Alumni Association.
  • A $100,000 scholarship endowment fund by the alumni board provides selected students with additional scholarship opportunities.
  • Alumni serve on a variety of boards at the School of Dentistry.
  • Available Practice Program is an opportunity for alumni to advertise for a hygienist, assistant, or an associate for their practices.
