Julie Martin Federico

Julie Martin Federico graduated from the IUSSW with a B.S.W. in 1989 and an M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology in 1990. Since 1990, she has been living in Colorado and enjoying over 300 days of sunshine a year. In 1993 she started her professional career as a middle School Counselor in Minturn, Colo.  She has since moved from the Vail Valley to Denver where she has worked for Littleton and Jefferson County public schools.  Currently Julie is still working in the middle school setting at Bear Creek K-8 in Jefferson County.  She has recently written a children's book on body safety that has been published by Tate Publishing. Some Parts Are Not For Sharing introduces children to the important conversation of boundaries in a fun, non-threatening way.  Julie enjoys spending free time with her two young daughters and relaxing in the abundant sunshine that Denver offers. She also likes photography.
