MPH Alumni Mentor Program

How to find a mentor

The goal of the MPH Alumni Mentor Program is to connect students with experienced alumni in the field of Public Health, allowing them to explore the profession with experienced mentors.

If you are a student or alumnus and wish to search the database for a mentor, follow these instructions:

  1. Log on to www.jagjobs.org.
  2. If you have never registered, click on the hyperlink at the bottom of the page that reads "Please Click Here to Register!"
  3. Read the instructions and fill out the profile and demographic data.
  4. Once your registration has been authorized, you can log in at any time and view or make changes to your profile. You'll need to remember your username and password, so it's a good idea to write down somewhere.
  5. Once you're in JagJobs.org, you can search for a job, browse career related events, and even search for a mentor.
  6. To find a mentor in the public health field, search the database using the degree program field.  This will filter only those in public health out of the system.  If you want to broaden your scope, you can do a keyword search to find other in the health care industry.
