MPH Alumni Mentor Program

The Master of Public Health Alumni Association is excited to introduce our new mentor program to both alumni and students in the MPH program in Indianapolis.

Be an Alumni MentorThe goal of the MPH Alumni Mentor Program is to connect students with experienced alumni in the field of Public Health, allowing them to explore the profession with experienced mentors. The relationships developed through this program will benefit alumni by reconnecting them with the Department of Public Health and exposing them to the current talent in the program.

We will use IUPUI’s JagJobs.org web site as the backbone for our Alumni Mentor Database, a service provided by IUPUI’s Office of Career and Employment Services. This database allows for a very unique way of connecting with students in the MPH program and IUPUI undergraduate students interested in Public Health. As a mentor, you can choose how you would like to participate:

  • Working with students to see the connection between their major and a career in public health
  • Share Employment Information
  • Externship Opportunity – a week long opportunity for mentees to connect with their mentor at their place of employment
  • Internship Opportunities
  • Informational Interview
  • Industry Information
  • Job Shadowing
  • Relocation Information
  • Resume Review
  • Tips for interviewing
  • Tips for job searching
