Medical School Family Orientation Program
LOCATION CHANGED
Due to overwhelming popularity, The IUSM Med School Family Orientation will now be taking place in the Campus Center 450 B & C
While newly admitted students are participating in orientation programs on the morning of the White Coat ceremony, family members should plan to attend this program, which is sponsored by the IU School of Medicine Alumni Association and designed to answer commonly asked questions about medical school for family members of a new medical student.
Spouses and partners, parents, grandparents, children, brothers and sisters will all benefit from this orientation. Topics will include cursory descriptions of curriculum, time commitment expectations, financial aid, and a year by year look at the progression from White Coat Ceremony as a first year student through Match Day as a fourth year student. The orientation will focus on both an Indianapolis and statewide center perspective, and students, administrators, and faculty will be on hand to answer your questions about your student’s medical education.
