Nominations

To nominate yourself or another eager volunteer to be considered for the next fiscal year’s nominations, complete and submit the nomination form by Sept. 30.

Criteria for IUPUI Alumni Council Composition include individuals with:

  • A demonstrated commitment to the campus, alumni engagement, and serving others.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to be a public advocate for Indiana University and to adhere to the vision, mission, values, and priorities of the IU Alumni Association and the University.
  • Diversity of background and perspective, in terms of race, ethnicity, geography, age, sexual orientation, campus, school, personal interests, professional affiliations, and other experiences.
  • A record of giving time, talent, and treasure, as evidenced by a history of alumni membership, volunteerism, and philanthropy to Indiana University.

Suggested names for consideration can be submitted by current IUPUI Alumni Council members, campus and/or IU volunteers, staff, and friends. Although a call for candidates will be conducted each fall, names are accepted throughout the year.

A committee meets each fall to consider nominated individuals. The committee screens nominees based on the listed criteria and evaluates current needs. The committee slates the appropriate number of individuals for consideration.
