General FAQS

Business casual for all meetings; business or business formal for the banquet; IU casual for the Annual Alumni Cookout.
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available. In your device settings, make sure wireless networking (or Wi-Fi) is turned on. In the list of available networks, select IU Guest. If your browser doesn’t open to the IU Guest page automatically, launch your browser. On the “IU Guest WiFi” screen, enter your email address, check the box to accept the terms of use, and then select Connect.
Digital copies of select presentations and materials will be made available post-event. A download link will be shared following the event.
Logistics and wayfinding
- All-gender restroom: Please refer to the venue map section of this program for precise locations. Located on the second floor of Hine Hall, next to the women’s restroom on the north end of the facility.
- Prayer/quiet rooms: Purdue Room
The registration desk will be located in Slate Foyer on the first floor of Hine Hall from 8-9am on Thursday, June 25.
We will have a shuttle running to and from the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown to Hine Hall on Thursday, June 25 for the conference on a continuous loop during the below times. The shuttle will pick up at the hotel outside the lobby on S. Missouri Street. The shuttle will pick up at Hine Hall outside Slate Foyer in the roundabout.
- Shuttle from hotel to Hine Hall will run from 7:30-9:30 a.m.
- Shuttle from Hine Hall to hotel will run from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- There are various parking options for events throughout the conference.
- Marriott Indianapolis Downtown: The parking garage is off Missouri St from Washington and Maryland St. The daily self-park rate is $59 and valet is $65-80. We will also have parking vouchers for those who are not staying at the hotel but wish to join us for Friday’s activities at the property. Please find a staff member to obtain that voucher.
- Hine Hall: We strongly encourage taking the shuttle (see question above). The closest garage is Tower Garage, located directly under Hine Hall at the corner of North and Blake Street (875 West North Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202). There is another garage, North Street Garage, that is located above ground next to Hine Hall and connected via a crosswalk. The fee is attributed to length of stay and can be up to $18 for the day. The venue is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, if you prefer to walk.
- Indiana State Museum: The closest parking garage is the White River State Park underground parking garage on Washington Street (801 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204). Parking is first come, first serve and $4 per car. You will need to get a voucher at the banquet registration. The venue is a 7-minute walk from the hotel, if you prefer to walk.
- Wood Fountain: The closest parking garage is the Sports Garage, (875 Blake St, Indianapolis, IN 46202). Guests should park on the student side of the Sports Garage and pick up the complementary code at the Cookout Registration. Those with IU permits can park in the lot next to the Herron School of Art + Design (Lot 86, 735 W New York St, Indianapolis, IN 46202). The venue is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, if you prefer to walk.
- IndyGo provides bus transportation for Indianapolis. IndyGo and IU Indianapolis bus are connected. The transit system can get you to campus and around the city. Options include:
- Marriott Indianapolis Downtown: Maryland St & Missouri St is the closed bus stop.
- Hine Hall: IU Hospital is the closest bus stop.
- Indiana State Museum: Washington St & West St is the closest bus stop.
- Wood Fountain: Herron School of Art and Design is the closest bus stop.
- Uber and Lyft are also available in Indianapolis.
Hine Hall is a 1 mile, 20-minute walk from the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown.

- All conference venues, including meeting rooms, the banquet hall, and the cookout area, are wheelchair accessible.
- Accessible entrances with ramps or automatic doors are available at all primary entry points.
- Elevators are located throughout multi-level venues.
- Accessible restrooms are available in close proximity to all event spaces.
- Designated accessible seating areas will be available for all sessions and events.

Awards and Recognition
The President’s Award is the IU Alumni Association’s highest honor for a volunteer leader, recognizing those who create opportunities for alumni and friends to connect with IU. Learn more about past recipients and further details.
The IUAA Volunteer Leadership Award recognizes alumni volunteers who have demonstrated significant service, advocacy, and commitment to the IUAA's mission through their time, talent, or treasure. - Alumni Resources: To better reflect our values of inclusion and collaboration, we retired our annual member program, making alumni services available to all alumni, not just members. We encourage you to make a gift to the IU fund(s) of your choice. Those who give $100 or more to any IU fund(s) within a calendar year will retain access to IUAA courtesies and communications.
